    The Indian Woman

    May 4, 2007

It does surprise me whenever we discuss about India; especially the vast knowledge it imparts. It could range from astrology, Sanskrit, the Vedas, architecture, the customs and traditions followed and the status and importance that women have in an Indian Household.

It’s the women (wife/mother/grandma) of the household that bind the entire family together. They are the first to awake and the last to sleep, never a day to rest. They cook, clean, see that her man and children have everything ready before they begin their daily routine. They sincerely follow every religious custom and traditions and it’s due to their continuous efforts that these traditions are still prevalent in the Indian society.

I thank you oh Indian Woman, for all the sacrifices that you make
and I humbly bow to thee.
