    There’s so much to write

    July 30, 2006

Yupp, I know its been a while and I have dissapointed many of my admirers and visitors. Its just that I have not been able to conclude any of my posts. The ‘head’ looks good but the ‘tail’ suddenly goes missing! It’s more like having a body but no limbs !

The last week’s been a shocker. My girl lost her grandma (Maternal , or in India known as Nani). Had to rush to Mumbai to see her off and also to see that she doesn’t lose control over herself as she was the closest amongst her siblings and cousins.
The death was brutal and unnatural, something which we believed could happen only in movies. But this incident has changed everything. It has instilled a fear in all those people who witnessed it in the closest quarters that one could possibly reach. The bereaved families were devastated and in total shock, but, Time Heals they say. They are slowly picking up pieces and moving on; she is back in Pune and all my efforts are directed towards her, to see her happy, to see that twinkle redawn in her eyes, to see the reemergence of her beautiful smile.

I sit quietly and pray. Pray that the culprits are caught and severly reprimanded. Pray that my girls family moves on. Pray that she moves on.

The last week also saw a fellow classmate, write a post on me on his blog. To read it, click on the link below:

There’s a piece on 7/11 too, which I received in my mail a few days ago! (i.e, 11th July)
(For those of you who are ignorant of a 7/11 must read this and you’ll know why.
For the international media, its just a “tea time story”, a story which doesn’t deserve much importance, it doesn’t deserve “breaking news”, it deserves to be in some inconspicuous corner of page ‘n’ (where ‘n’ is not equal to 1). Why? Because it happened here, it happened in India.
    )

A train blast in Mumbai kills approximately 200 Indians and injures
    hundreds others
. The reaction from the apparent Superpower (The great
USA) is that India must show restraint in its actions and urges for a
political solution to the Kashmir problem. On the other hand of the
globe in the same evening 6 Israeli soldiers are killed and 2
captured by Islamic terrorists. Israel prepares for a full front
attack on Lebanese settlements and the same superpower says that the
terrorists should be dealt with a firm and iron hand.

Is it true that just because the population of India is more than 1
billion, the value of a human life in India is that much less as
compared to an American, British, Israeli or any other European
life? North Korea test fires a missile and the US moves a Battle
Carrier group to the Pacific Ocean !!!!!!!!!!!. The right to self
defend should lie with every individual and country. It is high time
that all of us as patriotic Indians do not take this thing lying down
and ensure that each of us in their individual capacity spread this
message of injustice across the world.

For the death of 45 British citizens in a similar bomb blast last
year, it was a world wide tragedy on CNN, while for yesterdays event
the quote on CNN was “in their fight over disputed Kashmir” the two
countries ( Pakistan & India ) should look for a political solution.
May we all ask where was the political solution when the IRA wanted a
separate homeland, and closer to the date where is the political
solution in Iraq. Kashmir was, Kashmir is and Kashmir will continue
to be an integral part of our motherland. Let us all Indians pledge
not to be governed by vested intrests in US Foreign Policy and take
our own destiny in our hands.

    Now a good news:
